| The Story:
As a little girl, I loved to explore the objects that my mother brought with her from her youth in the Middle East: intricately carved wooden furniture, rich-colored carpets and delicately embellished silver vessels. In school I found myself recreating –on math worksheets and homework papers – the geometric patterns that surrounded me at home. The graceful artifacts of my childhood have exerted a deep formative influence on my work, and continue to inspire me as I expand my exploration of the Middle Eastern and Asian artistic traditions through both travel and study.
The Jewelry:
My original jewelry designs draw on ancient patterns and motifs from throughout the Middle East and Asia. I create one-of-a-kind and limited edition pieces out of both fine and sterling silver: rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings. Some pieces are embellished with 22k gold, while others include colorful beads and natural stones. Throughout the collection I strive for grace and elegance in all my designs.

The Artist:
All of my work is created in my home studio, which is located next to a waterfall in Berkeley, California. When not making jewelry, I can often be found painting, working in the half-acre garden that surrounds our home, or traveling in search of new design inspiration.
